Danny Puresh 

Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Post Graduate Diploma, NRAC Auditor

Director

Danny is a disability equality consultant specialising in access issues, independent living (particularly through direct payments), and general Disability Equality and the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995. He is licensed by the Disability Rights Commission to deliver DDA training.

He has been an active member of the Sutton Alliance of Disabled People and has a vested interest in promoting the theory and practice of the Social Model of Disability in all spheres of society.

He maintained this voluntary work between 1996 – 2000, whilst holding a full time paid job. Danny is educated to degree level, reading finance.

He was employed in the public, private and voluntary sectors, ending his employed career as a Finance Manager of a national charity, in April 2000. After a year of thinking, Danny finally took the step into self-employment and has set up DP Consulting, offering services in disability equality.

He has continued in his work for disability equality, by changing his education from finance to a sociological study by doing a Postgraduate Diploma in Disability Studies at the University of Leeds. Danny is also an accredited Access Auditor on the National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC).

Mike O'Sullivan 

Consultant

Mike has been in the field of people development for over twenty years. He has made good use of his corporate background in IBM which gave him a creative, quality-minded and professional approach to business.

He currently facilitates large community training projects where he has put in place a quality process to audit, train and advise service providers on disability equality and implementing change.

Mike uses his one-to-one coaching and mentoring skills to support up and coming disability equality trainers and auditors to achieve a high standard of service and delivery.

 

David Chung 

Bachelor of Science (Honours), Graduate Certificate in Education, Master of Science, Master of Education

Consultant

David has extensive experience as an organisational consultant working in the statutory and voluntary sectors. He spent ten years working in local authorities as a training manager and equalities manager for corporate personnel. He undertakes project work within the voluntary sector and worked for three years developing a project that trained disabled people as Disability Equality Trainers and placed them in employment. His main interest is in equality where he specialises in race and disability.

He has produced several training manuals and toolkits, written several research reports on Issues affecting Black and Minority Ethnic Workers in the Work Environment and delivered high quality user friendly training.

 

Zak Hussain

Consultant

Zak is a highly motivated and experienced disabled person who can work to the highest professional level, both as a trainer and consultant. Possesses excellent communication skills and will always give 100%.

Zak is currently employed as the National Training Officer for the Leonard Cheshire Foundation. This involves investigating the range of advocacy provision that can be accessed by disabled people - to involve disabled people in the planning, delivery and monitoring of their service(s) in order to improve them. Another key role is to involve disabled people with learning difficulties in the decision making process by setting up and delivering training to build and develop the skills and confidence to express themselves. He produces ideas on different ways people communicate and making sure services and different departments have accessible information. He also sit on various committees as link person for learning difficulties work.

He has also worked in a number of roles in the voluntary sector. He is an elected member of the Council for Disabled Children and an advisor for the Latin American Disabled People's Project.

Michelle Francis

Assistant to Director

Michelle is Assistant to the Director for DP Consulting and as such undertakes all of the day to day office management and administration for the company. Having been employed in secretarial/administration roles for over 20 years, she has gained a vast array of experience in office protocols and procedures together with an established base towards interpersonal skills. In addition, she holds a NCFE Certificate Level 2 in Equality and Diversity.

James Carter

Projects and Marketing Assistant

James performs the role of assistant project co-ordinator and marketer for DP Consulting alongside Rebecca. James holds a Bachelor of Arts (honours) degree from the University of Durham, reading Business. He uses his studies, in particular his knowledge of the principles of Marketing, in conjunction with previous experience in sales to develop marketing strategies and feasible deployment strategies for DP Consulting projects.

Rebecca Marshall – Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Anthropology.

Projects and Marketing Assistant

Rebecca performs the role of marketer and assistant project co-ordinator with James, helping to develop innovative marketing and deployment strategies for DP Consulting. Having studied Anthropology prior to taking up the position here, Rebecca gained a healthy knowledge and understanding of human cultures and social relations, which she uses to help conduct constructive research, communication and decision making. Primarily working on developing social networking for the company and promoting disability equality services at DP Consulting Ltd.
